This past weekend and into the week his Holiness the Dali Lama was in Seattle. He said how critical it is for us to achieve Inner Peace. He told us that without inner peace there is no way we can project peace and nonviolent within our community. He talked about how negative thoughts can be destructive. He asked us to please find compassion for your ”so called enemy”. The co-worker or annoying neighbor. Your aggression will eventually destroy your chance of inner peace and effect you health.
Everything he said made so much sense. How do we achieve inner peace? I believe the key to this is through meditation, breath work and yoga. Especially meditation. So,in the next weeks I will hold the Dali Lama words close to my heart and have us do some yoga and meditations that can help us towards a lasting inner peace.
